Oil mist lubrication of bearings

Cinc Solutions Engineers have designed a new system to prolong the life of the upper and lower main bearings in certain applications.

For most applications, modern sealed bearings are installed, situated at the top and bottom of the rotor shaft. Under normal running temperatures and protection from aggressive liquids they will provide a prolonged life and service.

However in "hot" applications the bearing seal material can harden and cause the bearing lubrication to "weep" reducing the life of the bearing.

"Open face bearings" replace the sealed bearings and are constantly immersed in a light mineral oil, which is injected as a mist to the bearing as a continual spray inside the unit.
